Sitwell Junior School
Christmas Gift Donation Appeal
We are very pleased to announce that we will be supporting Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice with the launch of our very first Christmas Gift Donation Appeal.
Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at their hospice in North Anston. Bluebell Wood is a place filled with laughter and love. They give families the chance to relax, take a break and have fun, and also help support the whole family. The Hospice has children and young people of all ages up to 21 years old and even up to 25 years old depending on their circumstances.
To assist us in our efforts, we are inviting staff, parents and pupils to support this valuable and worthy cause by making a gift donation however big or small.
Toys, books and other much needed items such as art and craft materials offer comfort, distraction, skills development, happy memories and communication tools to children who are suffering.
Below are a few examples of art and craft materials that Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice would be very happy to receive.
Glitter Face Paints
Fluorescent/Metallic/Glitter Ready Mixed Paint
Paint Brushes (assorted sizes)
Craft items that can be stuck to paper, model making and sewing kits
Sketch Paper, Pads, Coloured Pencils and Crayons
Sensory (lights, sounds, touch etc) Toys, Games and Story Books
Please note your donation must be new and unwrapped, you can if you wish leave a roll of wrapping paper with a tag as well as the gift.
Donation days in school will take place between Monday 9th to Friday 13th December. A collection box between these dates will be situated in Reception.
Thank you for consideration and generosity, you really can make a difference this Christmas.
Thanks, Mrs Wordsworth
