Morning Session – 8.45am – 12.00pm (doors open at 8:40) 
Afternoon Session – 1.00pm – 3.25pm
It is essential that children arrive on time for each session in order to get off to a prompt start. Children who arrive late face great difficulties as the first few minutes set the tone for the rest of the day. Supervision of pupils on school premises is available from 8:30am and, for safety reasons, pupils should not arrive earlier than this. 
Moving from Infant to Junior School 2019

If your child was born between 1 September 2011 and 31 August 2012 and attends Year 2 of a separate infant school, you should by now have applied for a Junior School place for admission in September 2019. The closing date for receipt of applications was 15 January 2019.

Please remember that individual schools cannot allocate places. The form that you send to the Local Authority is the key to the process. Without it, your child cannot be placed.

All preferences for Community/Academy/Trust Schools are considered equally in accordance with the Co-ordinated Scheme for Admission to Primary Schools.

Sitwell Junior School has been oversubscribed for a number of years and continues to be so. If you want your child to attend Sitwell Junior School, you must express your wish in writing using the form provided.

Our school uniform comprises of:

  • Deep purple sweatshirt / Deep purple cardigan
  • White polo shirt (logo or non logo) or white shirt/ blouse
  • Grey trousers/ skirt/pinafore dress
  • Grey/ black or white socks or tights
  • Black shoes
  • A grey, white or black hijab may be worn

*If your child normally wears a hijab, from September, this will need to be white, grey or black

Summer variations

  • Purple Checked Dress

P.E Kit

  • White T shirt (logo or non logo)
  • Black shorts
  • Black socks
  • Black or grey tracksuit if possible. Dark coloured if not.
  • Black pumps for indoor PE and trainers for games sessions.
