Welcome back!

Welcome back!

I can’t believe we’re already here again at the start of another school year! Where has the Summer gone? It’s lovely to see all of the children back in their uniforms looking smart and ready to learn. Staff worked hard over the Summer to ensure classrooms were ready to welcome children back after the long Summer break. Have a look on our official Facebook page at the photographs of some of the displays.

We’ve welcomed many new children to the school at the start of this term; not just our 79 Y3 pupils but many across other year groups as well.  We now have 320 children on roll (22 more than this time last year!) It’s been great seeing the new topics launched and children are already engaged in their learning for the next eight weeks.

They have also been learning about the Sitwell 7 values: respect; responsibility; resourcefulness; resilience; reflection; risk taking and relationships. It was really interesting listening to some of our Y6 pupils in 6W deciding on a hierarchy for these values and their justifications. More later in this newsletter about our values.
